Vermont

State Flower
Red Clover

No other state is a model for a picture postcard of New England than Vermont. The Green Mountain State is a picturesque landscape of rolling hills with trees and meadows, small towns with white steeples, covered bridges, barns and in the fall, its colors are world class-unlike any other. Maple syrup is king here as is the chief tourist attraction in its largest city of Burlington-Ben and Jerry’s ice cream factory.  If you are a ski buff, Vermont is The place on the east coast to go, with the fine resorts of Stowe and many other.

State Bird
Hermit Thrush

Vermont has many scenic roads, they are literally everywhere, but one of note is Hwy-100. Here lies the small village of Weston which lies by a small little river on a perfect green. Everything is here, small retro soda fountain stores, village stores, maple syrup and cheese farms and the Weston Playhouse, open until the fall. Vermont is breathtaking and well worth the visit, your eyes will pop out of your head and your camera will be non stop.

Tip of the Day

Be Organized

It is a good idea to pack one room at a time, labeling each box with the room name (Kitchen, Bathroom, etc.) and a number (Kitchen - #1). As you complete packing each box go to your notebook, record the room name and the box number and list the contents of the box. If you take a little extra time to do this while you are packing each box, being as specific as you can, it will make unpacking at your new home that much easier. Also, if a box goes missing during the move you will be able to identify the missing items immediately by referring to your inventory list
