Oregon Grape

This great state on the Pacific Northwest is a mix of majestic wooded forest and a rugged coastline. A very fertile state, the rich Willamette Valley was the promise land of Oregon and is currently the state’s social, political and cultural life center. Portland the largest city is very walkable, and has a European feel to it. Portland has many attractions to see. some of these are Old Town and Chinatown, its Benson Bubbler water fountains, and is a paradise for bicyclers. Not your cup of tea-use the convenient light rail system to get around.  Near by is the town of Eugene, a bustling college town and a charming side trip to take.

The Oregon coast, with Astoria its most northern town, is noted for its impressive Victorian homes. Many of the smaller coastal towns still celebrate their cowboy roots and hold annual rodeos. Also check out Crater National Park and the Willamette  Valley, famous for its grapes and wine country. Oregon is truly a very diverse and beautiful state for everyone.
