North Carolina is a very diverse state and has a wonderful climate most of the year. Many have moved here due to its relatively low cost of living, easy lifestyle, and closeness to the mountains and the ocean. Wonderful beaches dot the sandy coastline which is only a half day drive to the Appalachian Mountains. Most people visit the Outer Banks with its lighthouses and the historic charm of Kitty Hawk, Kill Devi Hills, and Nags Head.

As one heads west to the mountains, lies the Piedmont area with its old south charm. Dotted with cotton fields, it boast a strong African American Heritage. The capital city of Raleigh is only a short drive from the town of Chapel Hill, and its small college town charm. But, the North Carolina mountains and the Great Smoky Mountains National Parks is a must see. Here lies picturesque rolling mountains, and the home of the “Eastern Band” of e Cherokee Nation. Near by is the city of Ashville, home of its largest attraction-the Biltmore Estate.
