Kentucky is a rugged state of mountains, rivers, bourbon and thoroughbred horses. The state is divided into three areas, Bluegrass country, Eastern Kentucky and Louisville and Central Kentucky. From horse farms to steep slopes and narrow valleys in the east and the rolling farm lands in the center, it is a very diverse state. Home of Daniel Boone and the world famous Churchill downs the state is rich in many areas of interest.

For the adventurous person, a trip to Mammoth Cave National Park with its many passages and tunnels is unlike any other. It is said to have 365 miles of tunnels but that keeps changing; five miles of new passages are found each year. if you are looking for something in the “spirit” world, a trip to Bardstown is where you can get acquainted with how bourbon whiskey was made in the pioneer days. The skill and ingredients used to make it has given Kentucky bourbon national recognition. Sadly though if you want to try some, many counties are still dry.
