The sunshine state is a favorite for not only East Coast snowbirds trying to escape the cold winters, but a favorite for retirees, vacationers, and beach goers. Unique that it borders both the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, its hundreds of miles of coast line appeals to many. It has many major cities(Miami, Tampa, Orlando) and a large agriculture and farm industry too. A home to major universities like the University of Florida and Florida State University, it is a learning destination for many young people. The Space Coast is the home of NASA’s Kennedy Center.

The Florida Keys runs over five hundred miles and within ninety miles of Cuba. With its breathtaking views, great fishing and the Florida Reef, it is unlike any other in the country. But most people’s famous stop is Key West at the end of the island chain, with its Conch Republic, great seafood and of course its legendary Key Lime Pie. Unknown about the Keys are that after April 15th the Town of Key West loses a huge chunk of its tourist, so motel availability is more open and rates drop considerably. And is a great time to visit.
