Home of the first space program, Alabama is rich in farmlands, and industry. Its state capital of Montgomery is in the center of the state  and if one travels south there is a large French influence on the coastal strip around Mobile.This small coast offers pristine white sandy beaches and it is dominated with peaches, pecans and many types of other wonderful trees and agriculture. Alabama played a large part in the Civil Rights movement in the 1960’s and there are many museums and institutes around t he state rich in past history.

Many old buildings have been restored and turned into boutiques, art galleries and restaurants in downtown Mobile.
